Special Topics in Thoracic and General Anesthesia 2021 (CME VIDEOS)

From the University of Pittsburgh Anesthesiology Perioperative Update Series.Thoracic topics in this online CME program include the vortex approach to a difficult airway, ERAS for esophagectomy and lung resection, anesthesia for lung disease patients, and protective one lung ventilation. Special Topics in Thoracic and General Anesthesia also addresses anesthetic management of COVID-19 patients, anesthesia for pulmonary hypertension patients, perioperative transfusion guidelines, and antifibrinolytics for noncardiac surgery.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

– Review thoracic anesthesia and special situations including the anesthetic
– Evaluate management of patients with COVID-19, difficult airways, and severe lung disease
