Digitization offers great potential – especially in medicine. Cross-domain and cross-institutional linkage, big data, artificial intelligence and robotics can all help to improve research and care, but they also pose new challenges to all those involved. This book presents the joint proceedings of the GMDS (German Medical Data Sciences) and TMF (its Technology, Methodology and Infrastructure platform), held entirely online from 26 – 30 September 2021 as a result of restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
