Product Title: Comprehensive Review and Update of What’s New in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery 2021 (CME VIDEOS)

Format:

47 Videos + 2 PDFs, File Size = 8.94 GB

Overview (Details, Topics and Speakers):

A joint effort of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UCLA and Society for Vascular Surgery, this online CME program focuses on the major pillars of vascular surgery: conventional open operations, catheter-based intervention (endovascular surgery), the medical aspect of patient management, and diagnostic imaging and noninvasive testing.

Comprehensive Review and Update of What’s New in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery lectures cover important recent developments, and roundtable Q&A sessions are ideal for board prep. In recognition of the increasingly important role of endovascular intervention, this CME program also provides an update on endovascular surgery together with relevant case presentations.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this program, participants should be better able to:

  • Describe the indications, technique, and results of the spectrum of open vascular operations including such common procedures as carotid endarterectomy, repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm,aorto-femoral bypass, and infra-inguinal bypass
  • Outline the management of varicose veins and deep venous occlusive disease
  • Identify the indications, technique, and results of the spectrum of catheter-based; intervention including endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm, aorto-iliac and femoralpopliteal-tibial occlusive disease, and carotid artery stenting
  • Manage vascular disease including treatment of hypertension, risk factor modification, the use of anti-platelet, anti-coagulant, and statin therapy
  • Interpret diagnostic studies including duplex ultrasound, magnetic resonance angiography, CT angiography, and catheter-based contrast angiography

Intended Audience

This educational activity was planned for practicing vascular surgeons and vascular surgery residents, who wish to review their specialty and update their knowledge of new topics in this rapidly expanding field.
