About the Author

Leslie Neal-Boylan, PhD, RN, CRRN, APRN, FNP-BC, is Professor and Graduate Coordinator at Southern Connecticut State University, and former Associate Professor, Nursing, Yale University and Marymount University, where she co-chaired the AD nursing program. She has extensive experience in family practice, chronic care, and internal medicine, with current practice as an FNP at Care Medica, CT. She is well published in the literature, peer-reviewed journals (90+ articles) and books, including the recent Clinical Case Studies in Home Health Care (2011) and a 2005 volume that won the AJN book of the year award in the medical-surgical category. She reviews for Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and Rehabilitation Nursing and presents nationally For Springer she is a contributing author to the recent Encyclopedia of Nursing Research 3rd Edition. She is a member of NONPF, ENRS, ANA and STTI.
