He is also actively involved in various neurosurgical societies dealing with cerebrovascular surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. He is the CME convener of the Neurological Society of India and the Editor of the Journal of Pediatric Neurosciences. Currently he is a Senior Consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr Muralidharan Nair is presently the Professor and Head of Neurology at Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, with over 28 years of clinical and teaching experience. He has a deep interest in the history of neurology and bioethics in neurology. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular disorders besides clinical neurophysiology. He officiated as the President of the Kerala Chapter of the neurology society in 2013-14. Recently he has been inducted into the academic council of the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology.
